Fashionistas rejoice! The Canadian International Fashion Film Festival (CANIFFF) returns to Calgary with a packed weekend of screenings, awards, and parties.
Geared towards fashion film lovers and industry influencers, the weekend includes a curated screening of Nick Knight’s film History of Fashion and panel discussion, as well as the CANIFFF pink carpet, awards screening, and after party, with a performance by award-winning musical duo, Command Sisters.
This year’s event received 309 film submissions from 34 countries, for a total of 29 nominations for 13 prestigious awards.
“CANIFFF is thrilled and delighted to welcome a diverse array of national and international filmmakers to Calgary for the second year in a row, as we celebrate Fashion Film in Canada and around the world,” says CANIFFF co-founder Katrina Olson-Mottahed, in a statement.
CANIFFF runs May 26 to 28, 2017 at Le Germain Hotel (899 Centre St. SW) and the Globe Cinema (617 8th Ave. SW). Tickets can be purchased for the industry panel discussion or film screenings for $20, tickets for all of Saturday’s events are available for $100, and VIP tickets are $150.
