A summer favourite, this genre-defying, continent-linking festival is back with an amazing lineup featuring A Tribe Called Red, Neko Case, Lee Anne Womack, Joe Jackson, and many more.

Bringing together mainstage concerts and collaborative workshops, the Calgary Folk Music Festival celebrates some of the globe’s most independent, original, and innovative songwriters and instrumentalists. There’s even a chance to take in the always popular Folk Boot Camp—a three-day workshop series running July 24 to 26, 2018 at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre.

Rain or shine, the casual festival grounds are always a warm and welcoming place where you can come and go once you have your wristband. Even if you can only make it out for a single day, there’s plenty to see and experience. Alongside the great music, there’s a beer garden, a children’s play area, a craft market, a record tent, and international food to nosh on.

The 39th annual Calgary Folk Music Festival runs July 26 to 29, 2018 at Prince’s Island Park (698 Eau Claire Ave. SW) and tickets can be purchased online at calgaryfolkfest.com.
