Featuring a variety of movies that show everyday life in—and the diversity across—the Arab world, don’t miss the fifth annual Calgary Arab Film Nights.

Presented by the Calgary Arab Arts and Culture Society, all films are subtitled in English and include screenings of documentaries, comedies, and feature length dramas. There’s even a night dedicated to the Canadian eye on the Arab world on May 11 featuring two National Film Board of Canada films—Edmonton director Nisreen Baker’s Things Arab Men Say and Helene Klodawsky’s Grassroots in Drylands.

Calgary Arab Film Nights runs May 11 to 14, 2017 at Festival Hall (1215 10th Ave. SE). Head to calgaryarabartssociety.ca for the full schedule.
