August Open Mic & Poetry Slam

The city’s one and only official poetry slam, this group has been bringing competitive poetry to YYC since 2003.
Calgary Poetry Slam is a democratic platform for expression, join in as a performer or as an audience member. This month even features an extended open mic, as well as a few extra slam sign up slots.
The August Open Mic & Poetry Slam takes place on August 27, 2018 at Dickens Pub (1000 9th Ave. SW). Signup for both the open mic and the slam is released at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.
Admission is $10 cash at door, with a sliding scale for those who identify as low-income or students.
