A non-verbal, visual performance fused with theatre of objects and based on true events, join Calgary-based, award-winning visual performance ensemble 8ROJO for this dark tale.

Surrounded by dark circumstances on a night in December 1915, Ana María Cires drank a fatal dose of mercury chloride—a substance used to enhance photographic processing. The poison did not kill her instantly and she endured terrible hallucinations for seven nights before dying.

The show’s world premiere in Taipei, Taiwan played to sold out houses and audience acclaim. After is an experience for five audience members at a time, so book your tickets early.

After runs October 18 to 27, 2018 at the Lantern Community Church (1401 10th Ave. SE).
