Following life after military discharge, Theatre Disponibilité opens its inaugural production this week at Arts Commons. Written by Bill Cain, 9 Circles explores military accountability and the human cost of war.

Founded in June 2017 by Josephine Christensen, Theatre Disponibilité seeks to create more high quality art showcasing Calgary’s emerging talents. 9 Circles tells the story Private Reeves, a young American soldier stationed in Iraq and is loosely based on the case of Steven Dale Green, sentenced to life imprisonment for the Mahmudiyah rape and killings in 2006.

9 Circles runs November 21 to 25, 2017 at the Motel Theatre, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE). Tickets are $25 or $15 for students, seniors, and veterans.
