Located in Calgary’s oldest public park, The Farmers & Makers Market takes place every Wednesday among the beautiful gardens and water features of Central Memorial Park. La Forêt Ebouriffée

Family Puppet Festival Day
WP Puppet Theatre is partnering with Highland Park Community Association for the second Family Puppet Festival Day, with this year’s theme water, featuring: Walter the Water Droplet” a micro puppet show, puppet making stations, information and displays on water stewardship, puppet yard sale and more!

Create Together: Family Workshop
Esker invite families with children up to 12 years old to explore themes together in our current exhibitions through collaborative art-making, and creative experiences. Often inspired by the work in our current exhibition, each workshop introduces new mediums and techniques in all art forms.
Bring the Baby Art Tour
Parents, caregivers and their babies are invited to join Esker Foundation for this gentle baby-led conversational tour where they explore their current exhibitions. Afterwards, babies have a chance to enjoy some tummy time on artist Yvonne Mullock’s extraordinary interactive sensory blanket. Register now!
Youth Indigenous Beading
Check out this beginner-friendly Indigenous beading workshop for youth (ages 13–20). You will start with a keychain, learning skills such as single-needle beadwork on multiple fabrics. If completed early, you’ll have an option to work on a bigger piece to further your skill set. All supplies included.
Community Family Drumming Circle
Every other Saturday morning, check out a Community Family Drumming Circle, an opportunity for families with children up to 12 years old to immerse themselves in the rhythms and energies of drumming, storytelling and sharing that reflects traditional ways of connecting spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. Registration required.
Esker Kids Studio
Esker’s Kids Studio program is a series of free hands-on workshops for children aged 8 to 12 where they independently explore creativity through process-based art making, movement and play. Parents or guardians are not required to be present. All materials and snacks will be provided. Dress for mess!
