A live interview featuring legendary Canadian DJ and producer Richie Hawtin, join the National Music Centre as it hosts its latest RBC Master in Residence for an intimate conversation.

UK-born, Ontario-raised Hawtin (a.k.a. Plastikman) is a genuine original and has maintained an underground agenda of avant-garde electronica across many highly-influential albums and compilations.

“Richie Hawtin is one of Canada’s most influential musical exports,” says NMC’s Director of Programs Adam Fox, in a statement. “His impact on international electronic music is indelible, and I’m excited that he’ll be able to share some of the knowledge he’s gained over his career with emerging Canadian electronic producers.”

Hosted by noted music journalist Larry LeBlanc, catch the live interview on June 28, 2017 at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (850 4th St. SE). Doors open at 5:00pm, show at 6:00pm, and the event will be recorded live.
