Momo Performance + disability experiment with new collaborative creation
- Location: Wildflower Arts Centre 3363 Spruce Dr. SW
- Price: Pay-What-You-Can
Experimenting with new collaborative creation methods, Momo Performance + disability is ready to launch the first phase of its project in three upcoming test shows.
Created and performed by the Momo ensemble, Ground Control to Major Tom addresses themes of separation and togetherness, loss and letting go, and how friendship helps us carry on. Innovating one size fits one training and development, the company is shaping how disability is felt, perceived, understood, experienced, hailed, and resounded through performance.
This work-in-progress will continue to be developed before it premieres next season and features Kathy Austin, Spencer Choy, Karin H., Frances Maleski, James Silcock, and Jennifer Stewart.
Catch this work-in-progress at 7:30pm on June 8, 14 and 15, 2017 at the Wildflower Arts Centre (3363 Spruce Dr. SW). Pay-what-you-can in advance online at momogroundcontrol.brownpapertickets.com, or reserve and pay at the door by emailing info@momodancetheatre.org, or calling 403.830.0191.
