Wrapping up its series for the season, join the Calgary International Film Festival and the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival as it screens Black Code.

Based on the book by University of Toronto Professor Ron Deibert, Black Code looks at how the internet and communications are monitored by governments in an attempt to control and censor citizens. An intensive study about the battle for cyberspace, the documentary examines the complex global impact that the internet has on free speech, privacy, and activism.

Black Code screens at 7:00pm on April 5, 2017 at Cineplex Eau Claire (200 Barclay Parade SW).
