Join three outstanding early music specialists from Toronto’s Scaramella for this unique concert of music for viols and harpsichord.

The evening features songs played on a very special pardessus de viol—woman’s violin—the smallest member of the viola da gamba family. The pardessus de viole first appeared in the early 18th century, and was commonly played by women in French-speaking countries. The concert includes music by French composers including François Couperin, Charles Dollé, Michel Corrette, and more.

Délices de la Solitude takes place on March 5, 2017 at Christ Church Elbow Park (3602 8th St. SW). A pre-concert talk takes place at 2:30pm with the concert at 3:00pm.

Enter before noon on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 for your chance to win a pair of tickets.
