Local documentary on winter commuting celebrates its world premiere

Bundle up and jump on your bike to check out the world premiere of Bicicles. A documentary exploring winter commuting by bicycle in Calgary, the film looks at why everyday people choose to ride.

Filmed during the winters of 2014, 2015 and 2016, the documentary follows four cyclists on their typical winter commute. Written and directed by Calgary filmmaker Kim Kelln, and co-produced with local cinematographer and editor Robert Peddle, the film features rides by Fa-Linn Woollings, Mike Scullen, Ellen Hadley, and Scott Walton.

Bicicles screens at 3:00pm on February 11, 2017 at the Globe Cinema (617 8th Ave. SW) and tickets are available only through biciclesyyc.com.
