With presentations by Cynthia Bird, Son Edworthy, Tomas Jonsson, TracyRay Lewis, and John Rowland, join TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary for this open forum discussion.
Complementing its recent exhibition Cecil Hotel by Calgary-based artist Mark Clintberg, this round table aims to provide an opportunity for open and inclusive conversation relating to the subject of the Cecil Hotel and places like it. The presentations will be followed by a group discussion where the audience is invited to contribute their experiences and ideas. Clintberg will also be present at the event to discuss his sculptural artwork and anti-monument for the defunct Calgary hotel of the same name and answer questions.
The Cecil Hotel Open Forum takes place from 2:00 to 4:30pm on November 19, 2016 at the Central Library, Calgary Public Library (616 Macleod Tr. SE). The discussion is free to attend and open to all.
