Canadian Jazz Festival
JazzYYC brings together top Canadian jazz artists for fall fest
- Price: Free - $30
JazzYYC is back with its Canadian focused fall festival. From exciting contemporary jazz to hard-hitting swing, the festival is full of exciting collaborations and all-ages events including a free jazz walk.
Mainstage acts include some of Canada’s most prominent jazz musicians like GM Grand Jazz Prix winner Amanda Tosoff’s Words project, National Music Centre’s Artist in Residence, Quinsin Nachoff’s Flux project, and a late night series at Lolita’s Lounge.
Also on the bill are Terra Hazelton with The Polyjesters who will be joining forces to host a special Remembrance Day dance in tribute to 1940s era swing. And the free Inglewood Jazz Walk returns once again to pair local jazz musicians with the neighbourhood’s retail shops and restaurants.
JazzYYC’s Canadian Jazz Festival runs November 10 to 13, 2016 at venues throughout Inglewood and the East Village. The full schedule can be found at jazzyyc.com.
