Sherlock Holmes is summoned to his childhood home to investigate the mysterious death of his favourite uncle and to uncover the truth about an ancient family curse. Join Vertigo Theatre as it continues its season with this world premiere.

Written by R. Hamilton Wright, the playwright of the phenomenal Sherlock Holmes and the American Problem, the show sees Braden Griffiths, Curt McKinstry, and Kathryn Kerbes return to their roles for a brand-new adventure.

Along the way Holmes is reunited with his long-lost cousins—an heiress apparent with a dark secret, and her adopted sister who may just be Sherlock’s intellectual superior. With danger lurking, he and his loyal sidekick Watson must get to the bottom of this mystery before the Raven’s Curse claims another life.

“I have been describing Raven’s Curse as Sherlock Holmes meets Downtown Abbey, as I believe it will appeal to fans of both franchises,” says Artistic Director Craig Hall in a statement. “In this original adventure the playwright has also expanded on the Holmes and Watson partnership. To me, it is this relationship that is key to the public’s enduring love of these stories.”

Sherlock Holmes and the Raven’s Curse runs November 9 to December 14, 2019 at The Playhouse at Vertigo Theatre (161, 115 9th Ave. SE). Previews take place November 9 to 13 with the official opening on November 14.
