Foothills Brass pays homage to the 1940s with stunning concert

Join Foothills Brass in concert for a toe-tapping medley of swing, blues, and Latin fire recalling the struggles, victories, and rebuilding of the 1940s. You can even enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets!
Just ahead of Remembrance Day, the concert showcases music of the big bands alongside songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, and Count Basie.
The concert also features well-known Calgary artists Kate Stevens on vocals and Steve Fletcher at the piano. And be ready to dance as vocalists Andrea Ciona and Izzy Zenglitsky join in with Stevens to portray the Andrews Sisters.
The concert takes place at 2:00pm on November 10, 2019 at Scarboro United Church (134 Scarboro Ave. SW). Tickets are available at the door. To reserve, call 403.508.2225 or email foothillsbrass@gmail.com.
