Kensington Sinfonia launches season with music by Robert Fuchs

Buy Tickets

For more than 25 years Kensington Sinfonia has been Calgary’s classical music ensemble. Join them as they launch a new season with music by Austrian composer Robert Fuchs.

The late-Romantic Fuchs taught a stellar list of composers including Mahler, Sibelius, and Wolf, but his own compositions have largely been overlooked. This will be a rare opportunity to hear his Serenade for Strings No. 3.

The concert also presents Vivaldi’s Sinfonia in C major, Canadian composer Scott Godin’s Home with Kensington Sinfonia’s violinist Laura Reid playing solo, and one of Telemann’s orchestral suites.

Kensington Sinfonia presents La Bizarre at 3:00pm on October 23, 2016 at Hope Lutheran Church (3527 Boulton Road NW).

Enter before noon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 for your chance to win two tickets!
