A gripping, entertaining, powerful drama of adolescence and adulthood, join Workshop Theatre for its next production, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

Jean Brodie is a free-spirited teacher at a Scottish girls’ school during the 1930s. Encouraging her young pupils to embrace romantic ideals, educating them about love and art rather than hard facts, her controversial teaching philosophy draws the ire of the school’s headmistress.

As Miss Brodie becomes entangled in a love triangle, her behavior towards her favorite students becomes increasingly manipulative. Based on the novel by Muriel Spark, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie explores the powerful, lasting effect of a charismatic teacher.

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie runs March 8 to 16, 2019 at the Shed Theatre, Pumphouse Theatres (2140 Pumphouse Ave. SW).
