Presented by Trico Homes and building upon the success of its sold-out 2018 concert, this show weaves together a multicultural tapestry from Chinese traditions, Western art, and contemporary culture.
This year’s line-up includes fourth-generation Wang-style pipa master, Hao Yifan from China, award-winning flutist, Jiajia Li, cutting-edge performance artist, Barbara England, Calgary’s own Kensington Sinfonia, experimental youth choir, Artio, and so much more.
The Calgary Chinese New Year Concert takes place at 7:30pm on February 2, 2019 at the Bella Concert Hall, Mount Royal University (18 Mount Royal Circle SW).
