With more than 40 exhibitions and 60 events, February is a great time to love photography. Don’t miss this month-long, province-wide festival of ground-breaking works as it takes over Alberta.
The 15th annual Exposure Photography Festival should be on your to-do list each and every February. With exhibitions, artist talks, opening receptions, workshops, panel discussions, and more, the entire month celebrates the art of photography in all its forms.
This year, Exposure Festival HQ can be found in the historic Pioneer Building on Stephen Avenue (117 8th Ave. SW) from February 5 to 28. Featuring three stories of gallery space, swing by to explore multiple exhibitions and several special events including the Emerging Photographers Showcase and the Open Call Group Exhibition.
Other Calgary highlights include the festival opening from 6:00 to 9:00pm on February 1 at the Founders’ Gallery, The Military Museums (4520 Crowchild Trail SW) and a walking tour of The FENCE at 11:00am on February 2.
