Breathing new life into the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Jupiter Theatre and Chimera Theatre present this world premiere adaptation of The Robber Bridegroom.
It’s a tale of an impoverished miller who seeks a better life for his only daughter. To save the mill, they arrange for her to marry a wealthy man from out of town, but something wicked lurks in the woods where the bridegroom lives.
Using puppetry and physical theatre, this dark adaptation explores intuition and the uncertain nature of humanity.
The Robber Bridegroom runs January 30 to February 2, 2019 at The Studio at Vertigo Theatre (161, 115 9th Ave. SE) with a pay-what-you-can matinee on February 2.
