Powerhouse heart-on-her-sleeve vocalist Jess Knights’ debut EP, Won’t Wait, was written over the course of 10 years and you can get a taste live at Festival Hall.
Unfolding like chapters in the singer’s life, with tales of love, painful lessons learned, and a sly cheekiness behind it all, the five songs straddle the worlds of blues, alt-country, and soul. Backed by The Flat Whites and piano man Stephen David Fletcher, half of all ticket sales from the night go to a cause that’s near and dear to Knights’ heart, Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids.
The show takes place at 7:00pm on October 27, 2018 at Festival Hall (1215 10th Ave. SE). Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
