An important theatrical production, swing by cSPACE King Edward to see this family-friendly, public performance.

We Are All Treaty People tells the story of the first day of grade six for two young girls. Alanna, a girl from Tsuut’ina, is new to the school and wonders why a certain girl keeps staring at her. Maya is curious because she has never met a First Nations person. But when a Trickster opens his knowledge bundle to reveal the shared history of the land of their ancestors, the spirit and intent of Treaty 7, the miscommunications involved, the intent of the Colonials, and the ongoing challenges for Indigenous Peoples, is it even possible for them to become friends?

Told with Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists through songs, prayers, creative movement, and puppetry, the play aims to inspire positive relationships across cultures and generations.

Catch We Are All Treaty People on June 16, 2018 at the Studio Theatre, cSPACE King Edward (1721 29th Ave. SW). Performances take place at 4:00pm and 7:00pm, and is suitable for ages eight and up.
