Calgary Civic Symphony presents the winners of the Rotary Calgary Concerto Competition

Showcasing exceptional young musicians on the Jack Singer stage, join the Calgary Civic Symphony as it closes its Music of the Americas season with a bang.
Featuring the music of two composers, one Canadian and one American, hear Godfrey Ridout’s Fall Fair and John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine. The concert also highlights the winners of the Rotary Calgary Concerto Competition.
Presented by the Calgary Civic Symphony, the Alberta Music Teachers Association, and the Rotary Club of Calgary, the competition is open to aspiring young classical musicians between the ages of 11 and 18. Make sure you swing by early as the pre-concert chat is packed with even more music as the symphony presents the runners-up.
Rising Stars takes place at 2:30pm on June 10, 2018 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE) with the pre-concert recital at 1:45pm.
