Set to sweep both the young and the young-at-heart into a timeless dream, join Alberta Ballet for this world premiere that takes its inspiration from the 1697 Charles Perrault version of the classic fairy tale.
Filled with the pivotal elements audiences have grown to love—the fairy godmother, the stepsisters, and a handsome prince—at the story’s centre is a heroine empowered by an optimistic spirit and a special pair of shoes.
Imagined by Alberta Ballet’s Associate Artistic Director Christopher Anderson, Cinderella features vibrant sets and costumes created by the late Peter Farmer, a British theatre designer known for crafting colourful and enchanting worlds for fairy tale ballets.
Cinderella runs March 14 to 17, 2018 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium (1415 14th Ave. NW).
