Want to hear some of the best young classical musicians Calgary has to offer? Then don’t miss the 2018 Concerto Competition as music students from the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University Conservatory perform with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

Joined by the full Calgary Phil, hear UCalgary finalists Daniel Dastoor (violin) and Daniel Szefer (piano), and MRU Conservatory finalists Cameron Wong (oboe) and Sua Kwoun (cello) perform concertos by Chopin, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky.

An annual competition, the winner gets the opportunity to be a soloist in additional performances with the Calgary Phil and receive mentorship opportunities with visiting conductors and soloists.

The 2018 Concerto Competition takes place at 8:00pm on March 13, 2018 at the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary (206 University Court NW).
