Enjoy a full day of fun this Family Day at Studio Bell and listen while putting pen to paper as scratch DJ extraordinaire Kid Koala performs two Music to Draw To sets.
A world-renowned DJ, music producer, composer, and award-winning graphic novelist, Kid Koala’s unforgettable Music To Draw To sets are interactive group drawing sessions guided and soundtracked by one of Canada’s most creative performers. Activities take place throughout the day and include a Jett Thunders’ Air Guitar Workshop, an NMC Collection show and tell, instrument demos, crafts, and so much more.
“Last year, we were overwhelmed by the number of Calgarians who came out to support our very first Family Day event,” says NMC’s Director of Programs Adam Fox, in a statement. “Seeing families connecting with each other through music is exactly what we had hoped for. With this year’s lineup of activities, we hope families will find even more to enjoy, and that visitors will consider becoming annual NMC Members, too.”
Family Day at Studio Bell takes place on February 19, 2018 at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (850 4th St. SE) and is included with paid admission.
