Warming up this cold February, join the Calgary Civic Symphony as it turns up the heat for Festival da Música.
Featuring the music of Arturo Márquez of Mexico, Julián Orbón of Cuba, Heitor Villa-Lobos of Brazil, and Astor Piazzolla and Alberto Ginastera of Argentina, the Civic is joined by guest artists including the UCalgary String Quartet, soprano Michelle Minke, accordionist Penny Sanborn, and dancers Leo Sato and Marina Gonzalez of Tango Calgary.
The concert takes place at 2:30pm on February 11, 2018 at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Arts Commons (205 8th Ave. SE). And swing by early for a special pre-concert treat as students from Tango Calgary give audience members a chance to learn to tango.
