Noble and uplifting, Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise is his most ambitious symphonic work and you can hear it thanks to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
Following in the tradition of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the evening features Krzysztof Jablonski on piano as well as vocalists Erin Wall, Marianne Beate Kielland, Michael Schade, and the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus. The concert is rounded out with Beethoven’s heroic Emperor Piano Concerto.
