A head spinning tour de force, join Calgary Cinematheque as it launches its Contemporary World Cinema series with Anocha Suwichakornpong’s By the Time it Gets Dark.

Showcasing the best films from around the world made by rising masters and established auteurs, By the Time it Gets Dark won the 2016 Thailand National Film Association Award for Best Picture and was selected as the Thai entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards. Exploring the Thammasat University massacre, the piece follows several individuals working to create a film about the attack.
