A not-to-be-missed evening for hockey fans, bestselling author and Hockey Hall of Famer Ken Dryden joins Wordfest for an intimate presentation, Q&A, and book signing.

Game Change: The Life and Death of Steve Montador and the Future of Hockey explores the remarkable evolution of hockey itself by telling the tragic tale of one hockey player. Diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) after his death in 2015, Montador’s family is suing the NHL alleging the league had failed to keep him safe.

The book examines the intersection between science and sport while expertly documenting the progression of the game of hockey—where it began, how it got to where it is, and where it can go from here.

Wordfest presents Ken Dryden at 7:00pm on November 13, 2017 at the John Dutton Theatre, Calgary Public Library (616 Macleod Tr. SE).
