On August 23, 2008, Lindhout was kidnapped outside Mogadishu in Somalia. The kidnappers demanded millions or she would be killed, and for the next 460 days, Stewart did everything in her power to get her daughter back alive. Exploring that journey, One Day Closer is Stewart’s first book.
